When I was 30 years old, we opened Gas Appliance Superstore in 1999!
We were large-scale British Gas subcontractors at the time, so opening our own enormous showroom was a sensible option. We opened the shop live on 2CR in front of hundreds of people, and it was an instant hit.
I used to own Pre-Heat Limited, which was at the time one of the largest independent gas contractors in the UK. We worked for military and government agencies, as well as social housing organisations and big home builders and developers. Our roots are firmly planted in the field of gas engineering. In 2007, we sold Pre-Heat to a major utility provider, but kept Gas Appliance Superstore, which is still going strong.
We've evolved into the South's most unique gas and electric heating appliance showroom. Our concept is to provide each product enough space to be clearly exhibited in a real-world setting, rather than cramming everything into a limited space and on top of each other. In that period, the firm has actually completed over 20,000 jobs. During the previous decade, I've installed, serviced, and repaired electric and gas fires, fireplaces, cookers, and boilers, as well as built bespoke fire retardant constructions to house hole-in-the-wall fires.
We are constantly updating our showroom to include the most up-to-date and innovative products.
